§ 66-61. Established.

The city commission hereby establishes a park and recreation impact fee of $2,000.00 per housing unit for net new residential units to offset a portion of the costs associated with providing new park land for the recreational needs of the new population resultant from the net new housing in accordance with the level of service standard for park land adopted as part of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Winter Park.

The fee shall be assessed for net new residential housing units. Credits shall be provided for any existing housing units that were in place on the property prior to its redevelopment.

(2)

The fee shall not be assessed for living units within nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult congregate living facilities or other group homes, college dormitories, dwelling units on historically designated properties or for public or private funded housing meeting the definition of affordable housing.
