§ 38-1. State of emergency; appointment of special members of police department.

When, in the opinion of the mayor, a state of emergency exists within the city, the mayor may exercise the emergency powers conferred in F.S. §§ 870.041—870.047 and appoint special members of the police department to serve as long as the mayor deems such state of emergency to exist.
