§ 1-8. Assessment of court costs for police training.

The city hereby assesses the sum of $2.00 as an additional court cost against every person convicted for violation of a state penal or criminal statute or convicted for violation of a city ordinance, committed within the city, and every bond estreature or forfeited bail bond related to such provisions. No such assessment shall be made against any person convicted for violation of any state statute or city ordinance relating to the parking of vehicles. All court costs assessed and collected pursuant to this section shall be utilized and appropriated only for law enforcement education expenditures for law enforcement officers of the city.
