§ 110-97. Requirements for operation of business.

  • (a)

    Each taxicab licensee shall have a telephone listed in the name of the licensee, together with some person to answer any calls for taxi service between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight. Such taxi service shall be offered by the licensee at least between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight.

    (b)

    Each licensee shall keep on file a copy of all cab drivers' permits issued to his employees. Each permit copy shall have a photograph attached to it identical to the one attached to the permit issued to the employee.

    (c)

    Each taxicab shall have posted in the interior, with an unobstructed view to the occupant, a picture of the driver, together with his name, cab driver's permit and a schedule of the fares charged for the use of such taxicab.

    (d)

    All taxicabs used by any licensee shall have printed on the exterior of both sides in letters no less than four inches in height the name of licensee and the word "taxi," "taxicab" or "jitney," if the vehicle is a jitney taxicab, and in letters of not less than three inches in height the telephone number of such licensee. Limited taxicabs and restricted taxicabs should bear the name of the licensee and telephone number of the licensee.

    (e)

    All taxicabs shall be air conditioned.
